The
rudder bottom requires some alteration because it is an RV-7 and
not a 7A and two methods seem be taken by other builders

Cut
the top of the rudder fairing at the top so the fairing sits
higher above the tail wheel ie setting the rudder fairing at an
angle

Reshape the bottom of the rudder near where the tail spring
attaches to its support
The
first is easier but does start to spoil the line with the fuselage
as the rudder fairing follows the line of the fuselage. The
second option takes more work but keep the line. We opted
for 2). The last picture shows the flat put in above the
tail spring at the closest part to the rudder.
